Highest Quality Ingredients and First-Rate Quality Control Processes Mean Premium Quality Foods

 

	Nutritional/Chemical Assay – Raw Material Control Raw ingredients are inspected, analyzed, and tested for nutrient content, aflatoxins, and residual pesticide contamination.
	Biological Assay – In Process Control Blended/extruded ingredients are sampled and tested for microbiology/chemical analysis and nutrient/moisture levels by internal and independent laboratory.
	HARI Flock Feeding Trials – Final Product Control Ready to be packaged lots are sent to be tested for final moisture levels, nutritional content, and feeding trials on live parrots at the HARI facility.

This process is part of the Hagen Industries/HARI Quality Assurance & Food Safety Guarantee, to ensure your bird is always getting safe, dependable, nutritious food. If it doesn’t have the flocks’ final approval, it doesn’t leave the Hagen Industries plant!

Feeding Guide

For budgies, canaries, finches and other small birds offer

• 70% Tropican Egg Granule
• 30% Enrichment foods such as seeds, vegetables (and small amount of fruits).
• Don’t forget! PRIME one to two times a week sprinkled on kale or other moistened enrichment foods!

As with any new food introduce gradually by switching in 20% every week with current food. Can be moistened slightly to increase consumption. Remove any uneaten moist food from your bird’s cage daily and discard. Fresh, clean water should be replenished daily. Always consult with your Avian veterinarian to ensure your bird has complete proper nutrition.

During the moulting and breeding season

• Give daily.  Two or three times a week the rest of the year

Feed as a supplement to all other cage birds.

• Sprinkle a small amount (1 – 2 tbsp) over your bird’s daily diet.

For Grass Keet Species feed

• 50% Tropican Egg Granule
• 25% Tropimix Egg Food
• 25% Seeds such as Hagen VME Budgie
• PRIME 1- 2x a week sprinkled on kale or other moistened enrichment foods.

To encourage interaction and stimulation, and provide variety – enrichment foods, supplements & foraging toys should also be provided.
